Request to turn on & off

If you’re new to the Okaloosa Gas District service area and you know your residence has natural gas, please fill out the Request to Turn-On/Turn-Off Natural Gas form to initiate or discontinue gas service.

For security purposes, your electronic request for service is preliminary until we contact you.
You will receive a follow up call or email within 24-hours of our normal operating hours.

A deposit may be required in order to establish gas service. We can connect gas every day except weekends and holidays.

If you prefer to speak to a customer service representative, please call 850-729-4700.

Some things to remember to help us start your service:

  • Make arrangements to have your electricity and water turned on before you request service.
  • Someone over the age of 18 must be at home to turn your service on and for a service technician to have access to your appliances for safety checks.
  • If your home is a newly built home, Okaloosa Gas requires a final inspection from your local county or city municipality before we can schedule a meter set.

To find out more about our services please review our Reference Guide. It provides safety tips, natural gas programs we offer and where to purchase natural gas appliances.
